Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I have no idea but Sylvester017 is most likely correct. I think white is the original color for silkies, but I can't remember on that either.

Here is my baby at 12 weeks old. She was supposed to be a light colored partridge to go with my dark partridge cockerel. She has darker partridge colored wing feathers and tail feathers coming in.

Not sure what color she is called now....big question - do you think she is a she? Fingers crossed.

I gave her a haircut last night and cut the feathers around her eyes away. She is starting to head wobble - not sure if it is the silkie wobble from a head trauma or feathers in her eyes.

This is a picture of her about 2 weeks old.

Looks girlish to me and the crest says girl. (I have had boys look like that before) The comb should be flat or just small bump. (Said boys had bigger combs giving away their sex)

As for color. Looks kind of buffish.

BUT!

I crossed two different partridge lines and the pullets always look like this in the first generation.

ETA: ok that's a couple year old hen that's been playing in the water so she can see.

So my beautiful partridge Silkie "Cayan" was sneezing when I went out to close up the coop

I brought her in and medicated and fed her. She seems otherwise ok but I am so worried. She is two years old and just a docile little sweetheart. I hope she is ok because I love her and hate the thought of losing her. I only have 5 silkies in my flock of 20 or so and she is my favorite
