Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

From a few years ago. The one on her back is the only LF chick that hatched that batch so it grew up with the silkies.

This monster weighs in at 32 ounces at 12 weeks. Normal full adult silkie roosters should weigh 36 oz.

I'm preparing to set more eggs. Hopefully I get a giant pullet from them.

Rooster on left is 13 or 14 months old. He's a bit big at 41 ounces. Cockerel on right is the 12 week old and 32 ounces.

Eta: weighed the cockerels father who is 13-14 months. He weighs 69 ounces.

Yeah it's a sucky picture. It's been dark and pouring

Hey can someone help me figure out base colors on these chicks? Dad was partridge silkie. Moms could be white, porcelain, partridge. Thanks.

Chicks will likely all be partridge.

White in silkies is usually recessive white, which hides anything under it. So wouldn't have any idea what genes that mother is carrying. Many times it's partridge, which the wildtype version is kind of the default chicken color.

I'd guess the bottom chick may have come from the porcelain since it has less chipmunking.
