Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I know it looks so darn cruel, but the little chicks are like bouncy balls. It's like, oh well, whatever; where the heck are we Fred?

As much as ir bugged me I did find it interesting that they gave the Mereck shot into the egg. Has anyone done this?

I have never seen the merick shot in the egg like that b4! I didn't even no you could do that but I really don't think I would want to anyway. What if you stuck it in it's eye or something???

Man did they go on a rollar coast ride or what!!!!!

Once you got over the initial shock it was kind of funny the way they just got bounced around and nobody got hurt... BOINK! BOINK! BOINK!

Pictures! These are the one (maybe two) partridge chick(s) that I found at the swap! Sorry about the quality

^This is the chick I'm most excited about! Its very tame and looks to have great coloring.^

^This is the chick that looks buff with a dark saddle. Maybe its partridge maybe just a weird buff. Who knows!^

^Here's a pic of four out of five of the silkie chicks I bought. Two are white, one buff and the partridge pictured above.^


What do you all think? Do you think I have any quality chicks here? Any wild guesses on gender?

looks like you have a partridge (1st pic) second pic I can't tell - it doesn't look buff - white chicks tend to have a yellow buff tint to them so... with the wing color i see and you say a dark saddle, I'd say you've got either a grey or a splash. I'm leaning to a grey (silver partridge)

looks like in the last pic you also have a very cool little buff and 2 whites

super cute and great deal.


ya know with silkies it can 3-8 months before you can tell the sex - lol

Here is my partridge pullet. I think she has to much buff coloring in her hackles(dad was partridge mom was buff). What do ya'll think?

If she ever lays i might breed her back to her father. His butt is in this picture with her aunts or mom, not sure who the mom is. I will get a better pic of him sometime this week.
