Consider adding gatorade (or pedialyte or poultry electrolytes) to their water.

I have not been on this post for a bit and I wanted to say I am so very sorry for your losses! It is heartbreaking when you do all you can do and they still get taken. You did everything you could possibly do for them!
It was a horrible couple of days and it was difficult just to be out there with them. I had to go out often but short intervals to care for mine. It seems a bit better here today and I hope the worst is over now!

sadies chicks...I moved here from Oregon last year and believe me when I say I was holding my girls as best I could and saying goodbye, asking them to forgive me and telling them how sorry I was for bringing them all this way.

Sonoran I did put gatorade in their waterer in the coop A few days before this happened, three days believe. during the day they had ice water, cold watermelon and frozen jugs with a fan.

Here are my survivors, Lancelot, Delilah, Athena and Ruby. They are doing well on the front porch in their playpen with hay, ice water and a fan to enjoy. At night they are back in the house until they have completely recovered.
