Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Here are my surprise partridge colored chicks. I don't know if these came from the cross of my porcelain rooster x white or blue hen. I need to do a test hatch now that I no longer have the blue hen and see if they are out of the white hen.

Cockerel in front, pullet at back. The parent birds are from Catdance Silkies.

Chickee yours might be blue partridge also. White can definitely hide colors, but I would bet on the blue hen. Cute!

They are just sooo cute. Love the beards too! It will be interesting to see what they look like as they mature.

I am leaning towards the blue hen also as the mother. Guess I will have to hatch some eggs from the white hen and see what I get. The partridge color sure is pretty!

We'll be holding off of getting our silkies
we've been blessed with 4 new bantams, and possibly four more off today
maybe If I can adopt out a couple of the roosters I'll replace with a couple silkies next year

I am looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Although I think they are out of the blue hen, I am hoping they came from the white hen so I can hatch out some more. I never thought I would like the partridge color, but now that I have some I am in love!
