Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I've got a broody silkie mama sitting on 10 eggs...most are not even hers!

They seem happiest with eggs and chicks. My last hatch has three hens taking care of them, one of the hens wasn't even broody.

I often wondered the same thing -- if Partridge was a "sport" or if another chicken breed was crossed in?

My frizzle feathered partridge silkie sitting on 3 eggs.i always let her sit on at least a couple cause other wise shel sit in there on nothing so it might as well be for a reason...lol

Just under 5 weeks. The blue x partridge hen there tried to tear me up for netting chicks.





I think this one is a girl. In my birds, the pullets usually get their crests in before the cockerels do.
