Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

she has a slightly crossed beak so shes not SQ but she has gorgeous babies!!

I would keep an eye on the bb's. If she has a cross beak it may show up later in them.

Ya know, I hate doing this.. I think that any Silkie is adorable and beautiful even if they aren't show quality.

He looks blue to me... a VERY NICE blue... he honestly is one of the nicest looking silkie roosters I've seen in a while

Maybe that is why a lot of the chicks have that light blue underfluff. If bred to partridge, that's what you would get.

Have you shown him? If you look at the standard of perfection his color is way off. He's absolutely beautiful but not a partridge color. The babies look like their under fluff is very light, but that could keep changing as they age. How old are they? I see a lot of cockerel bb's.

My son showed him and got RV with him when we first got him. I don't like showing my breeders so he hasn't been shown since.

I will upload pictures of his grown offspring later today.​

I would love to see them. As I was told earlier in this thread, the color is the last thing that they look at in the partridge. He's a gorgeous roo with a beautiful house (that's what I am told his body proportion is actually called). I don't think that anyone can fault him for that. He has it all except for the color. Anybody would love to grab him up.
by the way, your hens are really nice. I can't see any fault with them.

Michelle B. has some nice birds. That is where some of my foundation stock came from. Her George Mihalik birds. She does have some nice birds. She wanted to buy all of my birds but I'm not selling anything else until show time. I want everyone to grow out some more.

Not to worry Pennie he is eleven so the baron will be a Jr for a while..I'm just the breeder and manual laborer except for the Ameraucanas I may show them in open ...He has been picking thru the cockerels and we are are up to 5 keepers....not because they are good but because he is attached to these ones...I will have a rooster ranch at this rate as he never sells the older ones either...lol....a boy and his chicks
