Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I know with my Silkies with the 1st. line I can definitely tell the difference from the time of their 1st. baby molt and others of my second line seem to be taking longer... But they do not have nearly as dark a chest as the other line. The other line was dark black right from the start.

Dylan's Silkies :

They're so gorgeous!!! Wish I didn't sell them to her!

Been there, done that. I think I have seller's remorse every single time one goes out of here, but sure can't keep them all. Jen, those hens are worth their weight in gold. They produce gorgeous type with everything I've bred them with. Love to hear what you get from your partridge roo.

I will be sure and keep you posted but they aren't even laying yet so it could be awhile. Since they are from a porc project I would guess anything goes but I am going to try them with my partr male. I really don't no what other color to use anyway??

I'm not the expert - by any means - but I would say maybe some kind of blue partridge or porcelain mix? What's her history?

She is about 6 months old and I had hatched some eggs I had purchased and I also threw a couple of my own in at the time. I am thinking she came from one of mine because she has really nice foot feathering. My purchased eggs have nicer topknots but less foot feathering. If she did indeed come from mine then her mom is definitely a partridge and dad could have been a buff, gray or a black with some white in him. She kind of has like a light brown coloring but in the pic it made her look more red but she isn't quite that red.

Pennie...those little partridge are so darn cute!!! Imagine what they will look like if a few months!!! They will be drop dead gorgeous!!!

I can't believe they are only 5-7 weeks!!!
