Well I have some good news and am all excited!!! One of my partridge that are getting ready for the shows has been acting very strange... Hmmm I know that kind of strange - I have seen this before.... Walking around, getting up in the corners and trying to hide, squatting whenever you walk up to her... Well, sure enough!!! 5 months old and I got her first egg today!!! I'm so excited!! I want to sing that old Niel Diamond song, "THIS GIRL IS A WOMAN NOW". So I actually have 3 laying. I'm doing everything in my power to hold off. I want to see how Hentoo comes back because I was thinking may the hen class for her. She is really starting to come around. Then Jazz is laying, but I won't breed her again. I have 3 of her babies and that's enough. I don't really want white Silkes. Jazz is my pet and she will probably live in the kitchen in a clothes basket this winter. She so would prefer following me around to acting like a chicken.
Ihave to go. I can't even type now.

This is a four day old silkie. Any idea what color? It is a cheeky little monkey for it's size.....as a kid I had a black silkie cockeral but none since. ......not a very good photo but it is quite dark brown.

Wow congrats on your new woman. I think when you take her to the shows now she might lay an egg at each show to show the judges she is the best.

I like that!!! Even though she's not quite the best, but close...
