Silver and gold are two alleles of the same gene. Silver is incompletely dominant, and the gene is sex-linked, meaning that the boys have two copies, the girls only one. Boys are either silver (S/S), golden (S/s+) or gold (s+/s+); girls are either silver (S/-) or gold (s+/-).
Partridge should be gold, greys should be silver; although you will occasionally find someone using a golden male for either, and if they know what they are doing, it can work.
Grey and silver partridge are pretty much the same thing.
The pattern gene (Pg/Pg), in conjunction with an e^b (brown or asiatic partridge) base creates the penciling that gives partridge and grey their penciling pattern.
So, partridge should be e^b/e^b s+/s+ Pg/Pg; grey should be e^b/e^b S/S (or S/-) Pg/Pg Other genes can affect the appearance and pattern as well.
