Hm....Say its a hen - breed to white cochin roo...Those are your F1s (regular feathered).... Breed F1s X F1s or a F1 male to the original hen... = F2 some silkied some regular feathered. Breed them together or to F1s to continue keeping the recessive silkie feathering there.

Nice day here today, going to get in a new photoshoot! Mine are now 10 weeks old, and I can't believe how much differently they look from when I took my avatar pic!

Hi the main partridge lady Pennie was away at a the ILLNI poultry show this weekend where her Partridge pullet captured BB over all the whites and then went on to Res. Champion Featherleg....her birds are spectacular and I now own 3 of them. Doing the happy dance and admiring Pretzel, Pennie and Zipper the new partridges. Wish i could get my pics to load on here.

Loading pics is easier here than in most places. At the very top of the page, in the blue stripe, click on uploads. Click on browse, this will pop up your pictures on your computer. Click on the one you want, then use the drop down menu and choose "message board" for the size. Check the little box if it isn't already, to resize your pics. Then hit the submit button. When it's finished loading, copy the pic link, then paste it to your post on the thread.

Well, I'm back!!! It was a long grueling weekend with LOTS of driving and long hours of waiting. The waiting paid off and my little partridge girl earned her keep (a whole $5)!!!!! It would have been nice to get ribbons, but her picture will be in the poultry press. Would you believe that I didn't have my camera with me when they did her photo shoot? Duhhh. I'll have to try to get my son to email me the picture that he took, even though it was just with his phone and came out all fuzzy... How stupid!! Her picture will be in the Poultry Press next month.
To be quite honest, I'm surprised that she won. Her crest got so full that when I brushed her out it just went flat!!!! She definitely needed some hair gel!! She was also one of 2 that didn't get a bath...

I have a Partridge silkie

He is a little over 4 months old and started crowing..and he is the cutiest guy..he thinks he is 5 ft tall and walks around as proud as proud can be!! We almost lost him to cocci but he is as strong as ever and I love him!!

And because I just love this fluffy butt picture..my 3 silkies all getting a treat!

As I am posting this my little Sammie is outside my window crowing his little head off...love it!!
