Peeps is definitely right about it being a partridge. As for the exact genetic makeup of the partridge variety - Sonoran Silkies is our genetic guru. I know she checks in occasionally or you could check her profile and contact her directly. There are specific genes in order to get partridge. I do believe 1 is a gold gene but then there are other genes for the wing pencilling and so on and so forth. Not just chickens of a different color. I wish it were that easy. Partridge is one of the hardest varieties to get to the SOP (Standard of Perfection). Very few people show them. I am running into that problem right now.

I was going to wait till this chick was a little older to see if you can tell me the sex (5 weeks) but you guys are so smart I decided not to wait. Also, could she be a blue parti? The one in the foreground is the one in question.
