I would have to agree with you. The dark one is most definitely a cockerel - just going by color alone. I can't tell with the second one, but doesn't look partridge to me. Maybe a mix of colors. I can't tell either if it's a little girl or a boy... 4 toes, I would get rid of it at a pet. Not all Silkies go broody, so even if it is a little girl, she may not set for you. If you do get rid of it as a pet, make sure the people are aware of why it is pet quality.
Oh, I forgot to tell you, I live in HIles which is about 30 miles SE of Eagle River. I have cousins up there and that's why we moved to the northwoods. I love it.
I have a Partridge Silkie - got the egg from CJs Exotic Silkies Fall sale and she (hoping) hatched a week ago yesterday. Here's a picture of my one week old partridge.
