Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Thanks - my daughter named him Daisy - well that was when we thought he might still be a she. So he's since been renamed Davy.

Here he is at 4 weeks old in the feeder facing the camera at the end on the left. He's standing nex to Rokk our silkie rooster who died over Christmas. The silkie in the corner is my pullet, Topsy - she's black splash.

He's very cute!

Here he is at 1 week old. Ignore the bad pic quality and greenish/blueish tint to him. I had added blue food coloring to the water wells on the bator - not realizing it would dye the unborn chicks blue. If you look back a page you can see pics of him at 3 days old.

@ Bobbieschicks . Can you post a picture of him when he was a chick

Thanks for sharing , I hope mine turn out looking like yours , they look alot alike

We have a pullet who looks like this now, mostly black with brown mixed in. She's the one in the far right nestbox.

But this is how she looked at 1 week old. We could tell her from Daisy by their color - she was a darker mix of colors and his was a lighter mix. She's in the previous pics I posted - the one by the corner and furtherest from Daisy in the 2nd pic.

They might look like twins - did you get your silkie from CJs? If so - they could be related. HAHA. He's changing colors still - his crown is now getting some streamers that are golden colored. Looks really cool.

Almost looks like my pullet Topsy at about a week old. I just posted a few pics of her at that age.

These babies are all from pure Blue/Black/Splash pens.....but look at the little guy in the front, right side of the photo!

Hmmm, wonder if it will grow up to have partridge coloring or if it'll turn grey? We'll see.
