Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

There are 5 basic ground-patterns. E/E is one of them which is the "pure" ground-pattern for BBS. when you breed them "unpure" E/eb (along with other enhancers/restictors) you become the leakages of gold or Silver. Breeding projects are all about breeding "pure", so you have to make the choice.
wow what colour is this did u take a pic of my bird lol JK but looks just like my bird

2 young hens "moreheads" Silver Partridge (gray with a Columbia factor) +- 4 months old "eb/eb S/- Co/co+ Pg/pg+ cha/cha"

Young hen +- 3 months old Blue Silver Partridge "eb/eb S/- Bl/bl+ Co/co+ Pg/pg+"

Young hen +- 2 1/2 months old Blue Silver Columbian morehead (comes close to Splash Silver Partridge in phenotype).
On the left a +- 2 months old hen (dark) Blue Silver Partridge also with morehead.

(All are project birds, so they are not finished nor in type nor in coloration)

Yes indeed, African people "the Mores" who invated south Europe were cald "moreheads" or dark (black) heads, because you could see only there black faces.
This "morehead" in Silkies is cause by the recessive gene cha/cha (= charcoal) that intensify the black-pigment in the crest- and beard-feathers.

Wow-thank you! A Blue Partridge makes sense. What does leaky blue mean?
These are pictures of the same chick just as it aged. Also, if I'm working toward a BBS breeding project should I exclude this chick from it? (I love all the genetics lingo, but its way over my head-LOL) We'll probably keep it one way or the other because it is so sweet, quiet (a little shy) but loves to be cuddled and fall asleep in your lap.

Here is a picture that I just took today showing the huge top knot its developing.
Cali, I know a breeder who gets some dark blue partridge from her BBS pen. Here's a photo of one of her pullets.

Quote: OMG, that blue partridge is beautiful!! I have to say, I am still confused on blue/grey color differences...
