Partridge what?

That is a normal coloration for brown leghorn or welsummer, but has a red earlobe so is likely welsummer. Not partridge. May be "easily confused" at the hatchery as a day-old though.

man you guys are great!

I had looked up some breeds and was looking at the welsummer and was always looking and wondering about this on while they were babies b/c I had ordered some brown leghorns with this flock.......going to look at the welummers some more

your mystery hen has a commen ee hen color feather wise but it doesnt have the right shape plus a few other factors such as the yellow on the legs. cant be a leghorn it lacks the white earlob and body shape doesnt appear to be right for waynes nor does the comb. the best guess for any of us is a hq welsummer

Well I will definately let you know when she starts laying.......should be soon, she is right at 21 weeks

Thanks so much for the link.....I was going against the welsummer bc of the leg color. But she sure does fit that bill, either way i will soon find out, dork egg vs greed egg, we shall see. I do not think she is a sexlink though........
