Pasta night with Katy the Chicken Lady :) recipe #2 p.1

I like making a really quick fresh sauced from large cans of diced tomatoes (Walmart's Great Value are $.89), but darn by chance I tried Walmart's Great Value sauce, the one I really liked is their Chunky Garden Vegetable - it's a dollar a jar and man it's not bad. I saute up a chopped onion, some garlic, a zucchini or maybe some eggplant and then pour in the jar sauce, about a third of a jar of water and some white wine and let it simmer about 25 minutes. Darned good.

Katy : I would love to show you sometime how I make these Ravioli's and I also Make my own homemade Ricotta cheese, cause I can't buy it locally the way I used to get it back home. Homemade Pasta is also a crowd pleaser and fast to boot. Yer Buddy.......

Mike, I love homemade sauce too and I do make it, but I can never get it to preserve right. My mother froze hers but I just don't have enough room in my freezers. and the fresh tomatoes in Idaho leave a lot to be desired. Do try the Classico Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce I like it very much.

Katy : You act like your surprised to see me on a thread like this. The fact is they won't let me start my own cooking thread as the old wet Hen's that hang out on these forums ( not you ) LOL will get mad and burn their aprons, plus everybody knows all real chef's are men.
I pm'd you with the recipe........................ And I never give out recipe's............ but for you well............. I hope you enjoy it.

Al you're pretty funny - I HOPE you are joking about the wet hens. Just share your stuff, if anyone has a problem with you or don't like your recipes they can look at other people's threads. I've been on other forums where some folks didn't get along, and then there'd be sit downs (gatherings) of folks from that forum and once those folks met each other in person they really liked those folks.

And yeah the best cooks are men, it's just the majority of the cooks in the world are women who have to cook for ungrateful and hungry kids and that's no fun, coming home from a hard day at the office - OR being stuck and home with more work than any office worker ever put out wives don't have energy or patience for cooking for pleasure. "MOM WHAT'S FOR DINNER, OH I DON'T LIKE THAT !!!"

Not much pleasure in cooking for them.

no, what he's doing is in a round about way getting away with calling ME an Old Wet Hen! But that's ok as long as he joins in on the fun here on the cooking thread.
So let's all bow to Al so he will stay . . . he has the BEST White Cornish and those raviolis actually do look worth bowing for . . .
but of course his recipes are going to be very labor intensive just like yours mike, but that's because you guys AREN'T playing super mom like the rest of us. Just teasing you both have so much to offer please do stay and play.
