Pasting

We got 19 chicks 6 days ago and a couple are having a problem with pasting. I have never had chicks that have had this problem. Does anyone have any advice on this? They always have food and water. They don't seem to be too hot or cold. We started using a vitamin powder with their water 2 days ago but it doesn't seem to help. Thanks

Do you keep grit available at all times? It helps the poop come out in a healthier way. Also, I watch my babies really closely for pasting, checking 3 times a day. Some seem to get it more than others, some seem to never get it.

Get a small cloth and wet it with warm water and then wipe it gently on your chick's bottom.

For mine, I add apple cider vinegar to the water (1 tsp per quart). It works very well.
