Pasty Butt Chicks

I put a little baking soda in my chick's water in the first week....after a couple of days, no more pbutt and they've been fine since.

The chicks i received from MM also had (developed) some pasty butt last night (about 16 or so out of 86). I made sure to check each chick and clean those that needed it. Other than that, they are all doing well so far. I'm also using TSC 20% chick starter.

Thank all of you for the great suggestions! Not all have pasty butt but most do. My DH is laughing so hard at me. I have my small pan of warm water and I dunk there little butts in it to clean them. He took a picture of it with his cell phone. He said they have no fuzz left on their backside because I have wipe them all off. Come to think of it they all put their butts to the wall when they see me. Who said chicken were not smart
