Pasty butt, help!

Dad would help me, but he for some reason thinks that this isn't a big deal and that I just just leave them alone and let it slide.
If your dad will help you then ask him to do it, and tell him that you cannot leave a chick with pasty butt as it can be fatal and cause death.

Hold them for a little while first. Make sure they’re okay being held.
Get a soft cloth. A dish towel works.
Run a section of it under warm water. Not hot, not cold.
Yep, just gently hold it and let it soak. He'll calm down, most chicks like it it
You can also hold them, with a hand wrapped around the chick and the other pressing the wet towel to the buildup. Hold it there for a few minutes, squeezing and soaking water onto the dried poo.
@Bakbuk tell me when you’re ready for the next step.

Two of my new Barred Rock chicks have pasty butt. On one, i managed to clear the vent but there's still dried poo stuck to its bottom and I can't get it off. The second one I suspect has the vent blocked entirely. How do I help them (preferably without making them absolutely terrified of me)? I need a walk-through.
Did you get my message in the PM about it?

Vent is unblocked! Now, just to get the rest of the dried poo off. I'm trying to get her to relax but the poor thing's scared.
Keep working, pinching the wet cloth with your fingers and pulling/rubbing it off.
Also use circular motions with a dry cloth to dry and re-fluff the clean parts.
