Pasty butt help.

I have one week old chick that I've had to clean a few times. I read on a blog to put a dab of olive or vegetable oil after cleaning...so I did and now she keeps reaching around and pecking at the area and is getting a bald spot! HELP

Try putting coconut oil on instead. This is better for it and is better for her if she eats it. As for her not pecking it, maybe rap her in a towel for a bit so she forgets its on there.

Thanks I don't know why I didn't think of coconut oil in the first place. Lol I put it on my babies but if he gets irritated so why not for the chick lol
