It had a best use date on it. The other brands I didn't see one but all the manapro smelled bad on the shelf. My little silkie seems to be doing better on the other brand.

That is really interesting since they claim they don't do anything more than tell you when it was bagged. Maybe it was REALLY old. Old enough that it was from a time when they did give a "Best By" date. Even if they don't anymore? Who knows.
