I bought a bunch of chicks 5 days ago and this included 4 bantam chicks and 7 golden comets (which are quite alot larger then the bantams). The day after I got them, 3 of the bantams had pasty butt. I took care of them the way I've always done it and put them back. The next day, I checked on them again and one of them had it again. I took care of it again and the same thing happened the day after. This is now the fourth time and day in a row that it has happened to the exact same chick.
This chick was pecked by the others on the vent but it is now pretty much healed. I'm cleaning out the broader today but other than that, I can't think of a reasoning. Last night, I gave it some apple cider vinegar and that hasn't helped. Is there anything I can do to stop this?? I don't want to have to clean the same chick everyday!!
