I currently feed an unmedicated feed (Until next week) and a lot of mine are suffering from some pasty butt, and the apple cider vinegar has had no effect other then the good crop benefits, I just run a tiny stream of warm water in the sink and run it over their little butt and rub the poo loose until its all gone then dry their bottom with a dry soft cloth.
If you don't have Vaseline handy, TMI but KY Jelly Lube works just as well.
