Pawn Shop Etiquette

Maybe you should take it to a local sporting goods/ hunting store and try to sell it on consignment.

The pawnshop will not offer what it's worth.

They sell it for way less than its worth so it will move quick an then you have to sell it to them cheep enough for them to do that an turn enough profit for for the space it takes up on the shelf. Pawn shops are not resell shops. They dont want to buy anything. They will if its cheep but they are there to loan you money. Its not ripping people off is how pawn works. If you want to sell something outright go somewhere else. Ebay maybe.

Thanks, all! I will try craigslist again with a price or OBO. I guess I hadn't realized that it likely caused the listing to be shunned. I also hadn't listed it on eBay since I bet it would be an arm and a leg to ship.

Right handed, 60", 45 lb draw. No bells and whistles attached since I never used them.

I've never heard of that show before. I don't have cable or satellite, so I am pretty out of the loop when it comes to what shows are on and stuff.

I go 'Pawnshopping' twice a week, every week, for tools. Been doin' it for years. They're going to give you 15-30% of the retail value at the time. Don't expect too much or you're gonna be PO'd. You're much better off selling it on Craigslist.
