When I was in highschool, I stayed with my aunt for a week. She is a nun and used to run a center for people that needed help. The first floor was a store kind of like Goodwill. The basement was where the food was donated and handed out to the needy. I'll never forget, when we handed out the food, how many people were in line, waiting for their share. I was in charge of handing out the feminine supplies to the women. Most cried when I gave them the bag of supplies and every single one told me how needed the supplies were. I was only allowed to hand one bag to each lady but most begged for more. I couldn't give them more because we ran out by noon as it was. That always stuck with me, how happy those women were to get those suppliesI'm in. I have to think about doing something that other's forget, like socks and underpants for the homeless. Perhaps I will try to organize a coat drive, as it is starting to get cold here and January is always the worst (cold and rainy).

It is truly sad how badly those products are needed and are usually forgotten about in "food" drives. I often wonder how many school age young ladies and working ladies miss school or call in to work because they are lacking those badly needed products.
An all girls school is a great place to do that!
