It will put the fear of chickens into him. If he is longhaired you might have to shave the hair under his neck to get good contact, but start low and work your way up. Mine will make even my GSD pay attention. My border collie/pit mix would hide under the carport for 2 hours with just a level 3 correction. He was a wimp.
