Why haven't I seen a single guinea claim? I've been tempted by them a few times.

"the man" has us under surveillance and if I change the flock "significantly" I wont be covered under NH RTF. UGH Neighbors!

LOL! Okay, wasn't sure if it was the annoyance level or what. They sell extremely well here, but always though they were ugly and annoying.

Same here. I am amazed at the prices people will pay for those loud creatures and nothing for pretty chickens. I am going to raise some just to sell.

I have claimed them from others 3-4 times. 1 person has claimed mine. It happens when you are not looking

I have several people locally that want keets as soon as I can hatch them. Kinda excited to have them to offer this year.

I had a guinea almost kill me once. I was on my mare and we were just on a completely relaxed trail from my house over to my neighbors house and all of a sudden one of her guineas flies straight up in front of my mare's nose and scares the bajeezes out of the both of us. Thank god I was so relaxed because she did this amazing roll-back and took off like the King of the Wind.

I couldn't blame her either, the flapping and that crazy noise they make. I've disdained those things ever since.

They can be very loud if you have enough of them. I am on 68 acres so they have plenty of room to roam and I have 23 of them and my neighbor has maybe 15.... when they get together to fuss it is really loud.

NOW I have a neighbor (sort of) in the city that has some and seems to be OK with them and the houses are right on top of each other too. Not sure how she gets by with it, I know codes made someone get rid of their chickens.... she has those too.

They eat LOTS of BUGS that is why I have them. we are over run with ticks.
