Pea Egg Incubation

Same as temp. and humdity Yes.......Harder to hatch yes..... Take 28 days to hatch, do best if eggs are layed on their side when incubating.

Few way peafowl breeder hatch eggs

1. Some used Broody chicken to hatch
2. Some used incubater the whole 28 days
3. Myself and other use both, under a broody hen for a week, then in the incubator last 3 weeks.
4. Some let the peahen hatch their own.

Well we wanted to get some Peafoul for my grandfather so we thought about getting some hatching eggs, but idk. how much harder are they to hatch?

About like hatching turkey eggs. Give it a try, not so hard you can't hatch some, just harder than chicken eggs. You just may have a lower hatch rate..

I have found with some birds tho not specifically peafowl that some people can hatch them like crazy easy when another can't do it worth a darn, I have never tried the peafowl in the bator but my experienced is little.

Hum, im thinking about trying to hatch some still, not totall sure tho. mabey next year one of my layers will go broody and i can pop an egg under her.

Do you have chickens? If not.. you need one... chickens make the best incubators... i use both chickens and incubator. All mail order eggs go under chickens... the shaking of the eggs during shipping lowers hatch rates, so I let mother nature do the fight for me... now when my birds lay eggs... I use the incubator... no shaking involved...

Ive got 95% hatch rate on my pheasants eggs that my birds lay..
on eggs ive ordered.. i think i only get 10 to 20 % hatch rate.. Major difference.
