Someone gave me a bottle of Moscato on yesterday, so I will keep it for the next hatch.

Yes, I think it IS a side effect of hatching peas. Terri saved me this weekend from drinking. If it weren't for her, I would have been under someone's bar establishment.

YOu may want to stick to buying already hatched peas. :gig

Kuntrygirl so sorry your hatch wasn't better but the one you can send to me he is so cute. Frenchblackcopper you have quite a flock there. I haven't had much more than a glass of wine during the Christmas party each year., but my first hatch is in ten days. I will pick up my bottle of wine next trip to town and have it chilled and ready. Thank you all for the that advise. It will either be celebrate or cry in my wine, ha.

Merlot is very high in anti-oxidants,,,so they tell me,,great to "flush" the system out with and preserve my pure set of ethics.Kuntrygirl,,plan AHEAD,,,always have a bottle chilled and ready to uncork, and a spare bottle ready to replace the chilled one,,the smallest triumph with peas is worth it,,,sure it may not cure the problem at hand,,but after 2-3 glasses it opens up avenues within the thought processes that gives you more options. It's better than a Centrum multivitamin anyday and has much better effects that a 5 Hr energy drink,,

I'm definitely taking notes. I will make sure I have re-placement bottles on hand. :lau

I do believe in small triumphs. :thumbsup

Lil Zoo, I hasd 2 with splayed leg! I tied soft yarn around each knee joint toallow approxiamately 1 1/2 inches between the legs. I was able to do the first one right away and it had corrected by morning. The second wouldn't cooperate so I played wait-and-see, but after 24 hours of it not being able to stand, I recruited help and got the yarn on there. He was able to stand right away and it fully corrected in less than a day!. I did use Rubbermaid shelf liner (kind of netted rubber) in the brooder, but it alone was not enough. If you need better visuals, I just typed in "correcting splayed legs" on this site and found lots of helpful posts with pics. Good luck!!! I was a nervous wreck for my first peachick hatch, after reading too much about what can go wrong--then I had a 100% hatch!
Thank you Hatcher-mama I did that and seen diagrams. I'm ready for that and will get the rubber shelf to put in bottom of the bator. Each night I think one more day gone. We are getting closer. I really needed the 28 days I guess to get prepared. This could get quite addictive. Thank you I am really nervous. It will be so disappointing if I get none. Then I have 6 more eggs that I started the 8th they came from e-bay. They aren't looking real promising but time will tell.
