Don't have a photo of her, but I've seen this case.

I have two Bourbon red turkeys and am hopefully getting some peachicks soon (a lady had too many and said she will give me some chicks so she isn't overrun).

I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this? Also wondering if there are any drawbacks to letting this happen. I know that, as they are separate species, any offspring produced will be infertile. However, not sure if they will lay eggs or not.

Thoughts?

... something like that ...

Dany12, you sure are good at staying inside the lines when you are coloring. That almost looks real!

Looooooollll okay well the girl I saw wasn't quiiiittteeee so ornamented XDDD

She was a BB or RP I think... with am Eastern or Bronze. She was creamy underneath and in the wings but with the bronze markings in the saddle area/back. more of a pea tail and a pea face but a balder turkey neck.

WAIT!!!! so is it actually possible for turkeys and peas to produce offspring? My white Peacock has been chasing and probably raping a white and grey turkey hen. LOL I didnt think it was possible. I guess i'll be posting pictures soon of my new Turpeakey chicks LOL

Yeah! The lady I used to get my pheasants from had turkeys and peas... and a pea x turkey female. But she wasn't fertile. Now that I think of it, she did lay eggs because I asked about incubating them, but they told me the eggs would never be fertile. So peas and turkeys must be pretty clolely related... different species cannot produce offspring as far as I am aware (artctic foxes can't breed with red foxes, for instance). I'm curious!
