Peach Silver Pied Peacock

Genetically, that's what Peach is. If you want to laugh because I am able to understand it, how about if I laugh because you aren't?

His father was a blue silver pied split peach his mother..was a peach silver pied. He is alot lighter than any of my other peach in the past.

Wow. I have no room for name-calling.

Everyone gets to live once. Live in a way that you can be proud of how you treated others. Sheesh.

Edited to fix my furious typing.

Anyway....

You are very fortunate to have discovered what that beauty really is. He is one of a very few, and you should be proud that he's the fruit of your many labors in peafowl breeding. Now that you have sold off many of your peas, it is even more special that he's one of your few remaining.

BTW, I've already mentioned how I prefer seeing the colors on peafowl rather than all the white on Silver Pieds, but my only exception has been pictures I've seen with Cameo and Peach. There's something so soft and innocent about those shades being mixed in with the white. So I'm being truthful in saying that I find him to be beautiful.

Does the Cameo BS SP hen have one or two copies of the White-Eyed gene? If she has two copies, and you breed her to your Peach SP peacock, you should get:

25% Dark Pied White-Eyed (boys will be Cameo split to Peach, girls will be Peach)

50% Silver Pied (boys will be Cameo split to Peach, girls will be Peach)

25% White-Eyed White (boys will be Cameo split to Peach, girls will be Peach, but being White, you won't see the colors)

And they'd all be split to BS.

Burt, your peach silver pied boy is a beauty!
Love his light peachy colored body with the light wings. Very unique.

We hatched one peach silver pied this year.

Pictures are crappy. Was moving the youngsters to a grow out pen and snapped a few quick photos.

Its nice you post some of this info........but you do know I in fact know all this. good info for others.

Myself i have never bred any cameo...so we will see ........BUT

When you breed two recessive color together......like bronze to purple =blue

So your telling me that Cameo is Dominant over peach

I had the idea peach was results of cameo & purple cross from time i got my first peach.........because peach chicks can out of both purple & cameo lines.

I had a peach white eye peacock(two copies ) he was alot darker peach.......this guy is a real light shade of peach, my first thought was it was the white eye gene. but that can't be.......Oh silver pied are all white eyes(two copies)
