She laughed at the cowardly black chicks. "What's that matter?" she asked. "Weren't you born with backbones? Silly chickens! Don't be scared."

Hey gals and anybody else looking for a free spell checker program, works on IE and will work with a couple other browsers, I'm running it on vista now for a bit over a month and it works great, no glitches with vista so far..

Chapter Six crunchies in the wind.

It was several weeks later and the black chicks still avoided her but she did not care she was friends with the giant. The giant always gave her special treats and would take her out of the box to play with her. but on this particular day the giant did something different.he put me on his shoulder and was walking towards the big portal that the giants passed through when they disappeared for hours on end.she was scared and nervous about the portal but she stayed on his shoulder. and when she next opened her eyes she saw the most amazing thing she ever saw she was overwhelmed by sights,smells,and sounds. the giant was walking towards a big pile of something. he plunged headfirst into it and me with him. when I looked around there was the giant beside me and the somethings were crunchies of all colors. there was brown and red,orange and yellow, and even some big ones that the colors she could not name. she spent the day playing hide and seek with the giant in the huge pile of crunchies. she was so happy he would close his eyes and look away and when he would turn around he would look very carefully at the pile looking for me after a few minutes of his humiliating search I would pop my head up and cheep and he would laugh. then I would close my eyes but don't tell the giant this but he is very bad at hiding. and when we were done playing he took me back through the portal and gave me my favorite treat. I am not sure what it is but it is like a thick water with little chunks of blueberries. it was one of the best days she had ever remembered. and when the giant put me back I went to my special sleeping spot and fell to sleep thinking and dreaming of the crunchies and the fun time I had with my best friend the giant.

Chapter 7 The Move


It was several days after the giant had taken me out to the crunchies but now I knew something was up. the giants superior had called him and said something about stink and outside. I heard the giant protest a little but then lightly say his usual answer "yes mam " And I heard the portal open and close it was very noisy. I then consented myself by eating a little then stretching out under the lamp. then I was aroused by the portal opening and a few minutes later I saw my friend the giant I got up thinking that I was going back to the crunchies or getting a treat. but I was deathly wrong he picked up the box and took us all through the portal of course those babies were screaming their heads off all the way out. then he sat the box down on the back wooden place with the big indent all the way around where the humans sat and would say awww so cute here peach here peach peach then give me a treat. but there was a bigger box out their now and one by one he put us in the box and turned on a light because it was dark. I heard him say goodnight and then the portal close. it was dark and I was on the outside of the portal and I might as well have been all alone. I was very paranoid of who knows what like the big white beast or the mysterious creature that made the er er er er er sound that I could never see. the others did not help my paranoia because all they did was scream and yell all night I was so sick of them.
