Peachick Color?

Because ,I don't think there is a Jade purple, it would require both male and female to have the purple gene and get rid of the spalding in the Jade, so there are a lot of steps to get to one... On the bird from Clifton the photo is not just from a cross of a Bronze and purple, there would be more done to get there or what I call building the base to get the results your hoping for. Maybe he intended to say Jade split to purple

Awesome! At what age do the males get their body color? And do they usually have bigger crests as chicks?

Wow...that's amazing!! Thanks for your expertise. We are very new at this. Been raising giunea fowl. And recently acquired a peachick. I might be asking you lots of questions ....do the peachicks eat the turkey feed like the guinea fowl?

Yes they can eat the same feed but many here medicated chick starter, however the brand around here only have 18% protein and they need at least 24 when they are this young so adding scrambled eggs can boost that up for ya if you choose the medicated feed.

Also the male and female chicks crest are the same
