Peachick hatching (UPDATE) PICS NOW

Congrats on the peachick!
I'm glad "he" made it out ok... it's very stressful when you help out during a hatch. I am looking forward to seeing those pics.

Think that may have alot to do with the 26 days, most of mine hatch on 28 day, but I am in Ohio. Most people post about 26 days are from southern States.

Thanks for the confirmation. Sure wonder what the possible cause(s) for this are..

I would sure love to know, so I can avoid anything like this in the future. If anyone knows please fill me in.

Ok, dont think you can depend on 26 days, most breeder believe 28, but also know many hatch as early as 26 days.

Just be ready at 26, if they pip. Would never try helping one out before it pip, then only after 24 hours from time it pip.

Peachicks dont zip around the eggs like chickens and quail.

I very rarely help any out.

Here is a few pics of the new baby. He is still a little crusty in a few places, LOL. BTW I named him PJ.

This is PJ beside my Lavender Orpington chick that hatched a few hours earlier than he did. I can't believe the size difference.

He does have very big feet right now and he isn't very strong yet. So not getting around a whole lot but doing better all the time.
