Peachick problem! Please help !!!

I think what KsKingBee is trying to tell you is that medicated chick starter is NOT TREATMENT for cocci. It helps prevent cocci. but once a chick has cocci it needs actual treatment. Sulmet or corrid can treat cocci.

It's "Corid" from tractor supply. We have it in there water. We do have any vets that do chickens around us I should have said that the medicated feed is a prevention measure for the other one that's not showing signs .

In your profile pic, is that your peas on cedar shavings?

If it is, @KsKingBee is cedar as toxic to peas as other fowl? Might be an additional issue on top of cocci, maybe?

Yes I know this ! Its prevention for the other peachick that I have . I just worded what I said wrong . I just need to know why it is having trouble drinking water?

Oppps sorry , I took that pic the day I got them and yes they were on cedar but i changed it to pine as soon as I got them home !

It may just be weak and unable to keep its balance when it lifts its head up to swallow.
