Thanks everyone for the info. We now have 4. Two of each color. Plus a bunch in the incubator and 1 in the hatcher now.

I had the same thing happen last year. It was the first year my trio of barred IB laid and I had a few black shouldered hatch. Caught me by surprise. I started researching and figured out my male and one of the hens must be split black shouldered. Don't know which hen, but doesn't really matter since I plan on keeping these three together.
