For anyone wondering, the swelling around his ankle has started to go down just today. He is hobbling around my room still on one leg, but I can move the leg to stretch it and push it to his body more easily now. He is spending more time standing and holding the foot closer to the ground- I've been catching him preening much more often than he was last week, and he's eating and drinking without me putting it directly in front of him. I'm hoping one more week and he'll be back on both his feet.
He's also made friends with my button quail, who is -absolutely fascinated- with him and spends all his waking hours running up and down the side of his tank trying to get over to see what Blu is doing.
