Peacock as predator

Quote:
Listen bodyflight it's bad to even kill a Peacock as I do not want that bird to be harmed in any way if he can catch it at least take it to a japanese family that will eventually keep it or get it shipped to me as I would keep it

I know this is off subject...but are peacocks normally mean birds, or did this one just revert?? I always thought it would be cool to have peacocks, now I'm rethinking that idea..

They are expensive to buy. If you can, I would try and catch it and sell it. If you just would like it gone and not fool with it. Then you could place a ad on craigslist "Peacock for sale" $45- you catch it, $100-I catch it. I bet you would get someone to buy it and catch it. lol

Unless handled daily from a young age, yes. These particular birds were semi tame and would come toward you when you had feed, but they still killed my chicks and ate my produce- even with plenty of chicken feed around!

Just remember- the bigger the bird, the larger the poop! Especially when that have eaten 5 bushes worth of blueberries and then decided to camp on my porch!

I would love trying the taste of peacock. I was offered some when I was young and in my very silly, "Oh, it's too cute to eat!" phase, and now I kick myself for passing up the chance to try new foods. I think you should kill it, cook it up, and send me a sampling.

I would call the HUmane Society. Sorry you are having problems with them, mine get along with the chickens well. Are you sure they killed the chickens? I can see the frog (food), but really not the chickens. Peafowl are part of the pheasant family and not really killers.

By the way, Peafowl are hard to catch and will fly up into the trees. If they cannot get there they will attack. Also thier wings hurt if hit with them. There are some at a house down the road and we tried to catch them, which is where I got my information.
