I weigh my chicks every few days and if they aren't putting on weight, they are sick, so maybe start weighing them, that should help you notice the moment they get sick and it will give you time to figure out a treatment plan. I use a digital kitchen scale like this:



That picture was taken yesterday and today the chick will be heavier. If it isn't, I will watch it very closely for signs of illness (runny poop, depression, not eating, droopy wings, etc).

Thank you very much for your info I'll be getting those things and see how they do.They look sick you know droopy wings hunched over.Worming didn't look like it worked that's why I went to the terramycin.Does Safeguartd come in a liquid?

Safeguard for Goats is a liquid and comes in a 125ml bottle for about $25. How old are they when they die?

Do you raise them on dirt that chickens have been on?

Never I have them inside a heated garage away from any of my birds.Since it's been so hot out I have a special pen on grass in my yard so they can pick and get some execise they seem to love it

At 3-4 weeks I doubt they are dying from worms of any type. My best guess, provided the were being kept warm enough in a draft free enclosure would be that they had coccidiosis, blackhead or an intestinal bacterial infection, maybe even all three.

It will help if they are sick from worms, not coccidiosis, blackhead or an infection.

Get the Safeguard, but also get some Corid, metronidazole and Baytril. All can be purchased in the US without a prescription.
