My 1YO male peacock is limping. He is still walking but does not like to weight bare but can. The leg is in the anatomically correct position, (facing forward) and the correct length when I checked him out the issue seems to be localized at the hip level. The rest of the leg seems fine.

I am going to give him vitamins in his water and see how he goes for now. Not sure what else to do. I know that too much protein in the diet makes them prone to hip issues, but I have been careful about that I think, feeding him chick grower not game grower, and cat food for treats.

His buddy is a very very feisty hen of the same age, and they do crop each others crests. I suspect they had a lovers tiff.

What should I do?
