Peacock not behaving normally

Argh, keep hitting Reply too quick. Feed this daily (only one gel capsule) for atleast a fortnight, you should see an improved mobility. But I'm crossing everything in the hope it's not. Horrible thing to watch get worse.
i have 400mg gel caps of Vitamin E, is that the amount your saying to use? once every 2 weeks or once a month?

I just gave the other one his first day of Safe Guard, I dug out some grapes and put the paste in the grapes, and he swallowed them in a one grope.

I saw the other one poop, and it looked just like it was 2weeks. 95% Brown and solid, and just a 5% little white.

If the adult human dosage is 1 capsule on your bottle our vets meter out 25% of that for peas as a general rule. Once a day on bread for a fortnight. But again, selenium on scrambled egg alone will do great support & as Kath says he's lifting now so might not need it at all. Pen him at night tho in case of critters he can't get away from while his mobility is compromised. Seperate him from the others...you know the drill

Kathy brings up a good point I forgot to clarify. I'm Australian, so the Vitamin 'capsule' size I'm talking about might differ from yours. I'm referring to a vitamin complex consisting of 500IU Vitamin E (384.6mg of d-alpha-Tocopherol equivalent) as one human's daily dose. It's a complex mixed with 10mg of sesamum indicum seed & tocotrienols (both concentrate & palm). Keeping this in mind, this is the size of the capsule I used

400

Given the 25% dosage for full-grown peacocks & allowing for the impossibility/pointlessness of Gary attempting to separate out straight E from this complex for scientific exactments...& because we Aussies pretty much bung it on & hope for the best...he's pretty safe in slicing on of these open & squirting about 25% of the insides onto a bit of bread. Hope I've jumped through enough hoops there as humourously as possible.

Gary, why don't you chat to Zazouse & WestKnollAmy in the 'Show Off Your Peas' for any more ideas if the worming doesn't work. Also, I have the HIGHEST esteem for Birdrain who has helped me on some behavioural consults. They are all really generous, kind & welcoming.

I have seen wry/crook neck, and it didn't look like the peacock in the thread. The peacock in this thread looks like a sick bird. If any of you want to read about treating wry/crook neck, check out this thread, but keep in mind that the doses listed are for a 2 pound bird.
