Peacock practicing his dance

My peacock is doing a lot of dancing. His tail is looking magnificent and more feathers are unfurling. I guess he doesn't realize that with more than a foot of snow still on the ground, the peahens just aren't interested. They spend their time avoiding him.

We have been really cold here until Sunday, lows in the single digits last week. Extended forecast does not call for any freezing for the next couple of weeks which I really appreciate because I hate going out at dark thirty to collect eggs. I set my first five pea eggs under a broody Sunday.
