I have a friend that her peafowl hatched out 5 chicks about a week ago and one is acting puny. Wings dropped, not following mama, not running from people, poopy butt. She separated it got it some sugers in it and electrolytes. Would a round of Corid be in order?

Is the vent area cleaned off now? Pasty butt can keep happening for a number of days, so check it daily. What do the poops look like? How old are they? It sounds more like dehydration or failure to thrive. Water with 1 tsp of sugar per cup, or electrolytes would be good. Offer some very wet mushy feed as well.

She has been keeping it clean since she saw it had a dirty butt. Poo is normal in color slightly runny. About a week old. It is interested in drinking and eating. Already got it sugars and electrolytes.
