Peafowl & cold

The same as chickens. I had pea fowl when I lived in Wisconsin. They did fine in an unheated coop. A heated water bowl should be used so they have liquid water available, and of course, a good and plentiful food supply.
 
They need a draft free enclosed shelter. It can get mighty cold in Wyoming. My peafowl don't like to be out in the bitter cold and snow so they mostly stay inside the henhouse when the weather is bad. It's not uncommon for it to be in the single digits inside their house when it's below zero outside so they can take the cold. They just don't like it any more than I do! :tongue
