Peafowl egg swap anyone?

kuntrygirl, according to BYC rules all swaps must be put in the different forum for Chicken-Egg swaps section. Since several wants me to oversee this I guess I can. I will go back thru all the suggestions brought up here and compose a final "rules and guidelines" for this so everyone can see it here first. I think on my part, to make it easier, everyone that wants to participate in this swap must first send me a PM including a list of what they will swap and what they're looking for. I will then compose a "Master List" to post in that forum for all to see and be aware of what is or will be coming up .Naturally the list can change in a heartbeat but because peafowl don't lay eggs but a few months I'm hoping some of the offerings will be rather unique.
I love to put peafowl into peoples hands that are after certain colors-pattern combinations they may need. I get great "peace of mind" in the evenings watching and spending time with my peas. Such beauty in such a small package and for us to enjoy!! I think we all should be aware of the value of what we are offering vs. what we trade for. Of course each decision is between both parties and we hope all goes well but we know there will be something that will come up.

Gotcha'! ;)

Sounds like a plan to me. :D

After reading thru all the suggestions posted here, this is a summary of what I've came up with.I've noted everyones suggestions and tried to condense this down so it's KISS for everyone. In order to keep all the extra unnecessary comments back and forth on the swap thread I suggest we start a Peafowl Swap discussion thread here for those involved to post comments and rebuttals? We can start that thread now so others who may have specific questions can ask-reply here instead of filling up the swap thread with jibberish and unrelated posts about the swap.So here is what I came up with

BYC disclaimer here<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This is a Peafowl 1 sided swap.Everyone who wants to be included in this swap must first send me a PM listing:
A.) what they have to swap and
B.) what they are wanting-willing to swap for.
C.) Please include the state you live in in your PM.
D.) If your NPIP certified please include your number in your PM and if you are or are not willing to trade with non NPIP flocks
This information will be put on a Master List for everyone to read. The ONLY things allowed in this swap are eggs or live chicks falling into these types
1.Peafowl-eggs or peachicks
2.Turkey Eggs or Turkey Poults
3.Guinea eggs or Guinea keets
4.Chicken eggs or Hatched Chicks
5.Pheasants eggs including Ornamentals or pheasant chicks
6.Swan-Duck-Ornamental Duck-Goose eggs or hatched ducklings or cignets.

One side of the swap must include a minimum of 2 Peafowl eggs or two Peachicks. If you do not own Peafowl you may post what you have to offer in exchange for another members posted Peafowl eggs or Peachicks.Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of each of the individuals involved between the swap.If you have some older birds entered in a swap please keep in mind the cost of the shipping box and shipping cost in your value. All members entered into this swap are restricted to 2 swaps per week.If your offering hatching eggs please check prior to offering them that the eggs are indeed fertile.Swaps begin on Monday morning and end on Sunday nite. You must be able to ship your swapped item to the other party no later than Wednesday of the new week. Do not list items that cannot be shipped the next week. This is not a Pre-Swap.Items posted must be available by Sunday nite. You should communicate the shipping-confirmation-tracking number once birds-eggs are shipped to the winner of your swap. Members may begin posting items they wish to swap on Sunday evening for the upcoming week.Once you decide on a swap you must post "swapped" in the forum so everyone knows that particular item is gone.
. Swappers should pay close attention to location of other members they are interested in doing a swap with especially in regards to shipping hatching eggs.Swap will start on April 15th and end when Peafowl egg laying has ended normally by the end of August.
To help keep this Swap thread somewhat organized we ask you to come to the Peafowl Forum and ask-reply-comment in our thread there regarding the peafowl Swap. Please keep all posts in this thread strictly about items listed or possible changes you may make to enhance-get interest in your items. If you have any changes to make to your list, send me a PM with additions-subtractions to your items. We will try to update the Master List each week or as necessary and post it regularly throughout the thread. You decide what you wish to offer the week you decide.
Members who do not follow up on shipping swapped items will be banned from the swap.Do not offer to swap if you do not yet have that item.Only enter into negotiations with other members if you can ship their winnings by Wednesday of the following week.If members get several complaints about items they too will be banned.
So start planning on what your willing to swap and what your interested in as exchange birds-eggs,then follow what information is needed and submit me your information with a PM. This information will be added to the Master List which will be posted at the opening of the April 15th start date. You then decide which of those items and the week you wish to offer them for swapping to others and post it here starting on a Sunday evening. It is your discretion to make an immediate swap or wait on other offers thru the entire week before accepting one. The frequent members of the Peafowl Forum invites everyone who's always wanted peafowl to have a great chance at getting eggs or chicks to begin seeing the true beauty of all colors-patterns of peafowl.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hows this for the final rules-regs?? Is it simple enough? Any additions-changes? Speak now as I think we should get this started by the weekend if possible to allow everyone to see it and decide. FBC

Well this thread has had more than 25 views since the final draft was posted above so it seems to have passed.I will now post it in the appropriate section, then come back here and lave a URL for that page so everyone can locate it.I will then start a new thread in here for all the comments or questions to be asked. I know it won't happen but I'd like to keep the swap thread as clean as possible with only posts between interested parties and of swap items, and when a swap occurs so those eggs-chicks gets taken off the list. More to come
