I saw where one of the peas made a nest in the sand without any hay. It's just a area where they kicked out the sand. Looks like a nesting to me. Maybe the girls are getting ready. :/

Out of ALL of the animals that I have, the peas are the most exciting for me. That's why the wait is killing me. I'm sure that I will have a heart attack when I find the first egg.

I am thinking I might get eggs in April...That is around the time I normally get some but I am somewhat looking to see if I find any...I really need more room for birds and I need to sell two chicks from last year, so I am not really looking forward to chicks just because of space... I kinda want to eat some of the eggs just to see what the eggs are like. I won't eat all their eggs and besides my peahens never sit on their first eggs anyways.

Minxfox how did you get that show off your peas link on the bottom of your page?

Kuntrygirl i should get some eggs from my whites maybe we can trade, i don't mind IB's that would give me a different bloodline, plus we are close to each other so shipping would be pretty fast, i can't guarantee fertility either but they layed before they were a year old so i am sure they will be laying again and the pied male or my IB with the white flights will be the daddy.

Pea Palace will be getting 2 new colors this spring. We already have 1 trio bought. Waiting to hear on second new color how many and what patterns of hens is available before we secure this color. And if the wallet has any left after getting a bigger incubator we're going after two pairs of the new colored birds.

Same here. I can't wait until Monday gets here. April 1st was the big day on last year. I"m hoping.

No frosty but it was chilly this morning.
