Peafowl for 2013

I'm disappointed again, from setting of 7 pea eggs pulled one for early quitter then only 5 looked fully developed/blackout when put in lockdown. At lockdown one had internally pipped and a second was trying and could see it pushing. Those two hatched on late on day 25. When I pulled those two out to put in brooder a third I could see trying to internally pip. It is day 27 now and no more movement in the remaining eggs. Only 2 live chicks. My question to all of you is what day do you put your eggs in lockdown/hatcher?? I have been doing it on day 24/25, but my chicks are already pipping and hatching early usually the next day.

Nope I got 2 hatching right now that says that is not always true so you got to set them eggs just like I did,

pea eggs are fickled, I had a few hatch the day before and on lockdown day and had a couple hatched on day 30
