Peafowl for 2013

My electricity went out for about 4 hours on Saturday morning. Not sure how this will affect the pea eggs.

Not unless it is cold where you incubate your eggs as long as temps don't get below 85 in the bator IMO they will be fine unless you just started them that is.. I am sure at this point you are like me and what will be will be.. I got to candle 5 eggs under the pied .

Yep. If they hatch fine. If they don't hatch still fine. At this point, oh well.

Kind of silly, isn't it?

I don't think I will be in such a rush for egg season next year, especially since I'm going to be out of town the first week of June. My kids will be gathering eggs and taking care of everything.

I say that every year. I hope to not be in a rush next year but I no that's not true. :/

My last two peachicks out my blackshoulder peacock that died not to long ago have been killed... They hatched under a cochin broody hen that was left with the rest of chickens since she would not sit anywhere else, and our dumb turkey went into the nest and killed the peachicks. I was excited for these peachicks since they were going to be the last ones from my beautiful blackshoulder...guess not anymore...

I on the other hand cannot wait until next year's breeding season. My spalding peacock is getting more beautiful by the day, and I am excited about what I will get from the new Opal WE peacock.
