Peafowl for 2013

Ya know what i got one the same way she is very tiny but a good weight for her size,
i taught my imprinted peas to jump up on stuff on command and when i need to check their weight i just reach up under them and give em a feel, works great. and they do not mind like they do if i just try to pick them up, they don't even care when i mess with their feet, they just don't like me touching their backs, touch to much and they squat like a hen .

Yeah I can stroke Peep's back (the part with all of the scale feathers) but if I start to pet his train he doesn't like that. I should have pet his tail more when he was little. Peep is sometimes okay with me petting his feet. I can touch his spurs too but just not his legs. When I tap on the log Peep flies up there and sometimes I feel him to see if he is healthy. Do you say anything to your peas to get them to jump up or do you just tap? Most of the time I don't even have to tap anymore. Peep likes flying on top of the log so he can get pet and get extra treats.

All of the peacock's trains are looking good. I saw Frosty preening his pretty white train yesterday. I can't wait to see him with a full train. I hope he won't get it all dirty. I got the UPA magazine in and there is a beautiful photo of a white peacock displaying on the front and it got me all excited to see Frosty like that soon.

Hey guys, sorry I am totally ignorant about peafowl, only have chickens, but saw those GORGEOUS white ones in your pics!! Are they a different breed or albino-types to the normal ones? are they considered a domesticated species or game? where do they come from?what are they like as pets? which ones are more tame the girls or the boys? how about compared to chickens? sorry about all the question but am really fascinated now..

It is funny how peopls tastes are so Different, I myself do not care for the whites, I do like Silver Pieds just not solid white, If I was to get a white I would like a spalding white.
